BACK TO RIDING DIRTY...WELL FOR SOME OF YOU.
Texas lawmakers are looking to get rid of red light cameras across the state. It's part of a plan that would make big changes to the transportation department. This all happened here late last night: an overhaul of TxDOT that would change its leadership from an appointed board to one person elected by the people. The house has adopted an amendment that would essentially ban red light cameras in Texas. Here in Austin, cameras intended to catch red light runners started taking pictures just under a year ago, over the Memorial Day Weekend. They're at nine intersections around town, with the most recent ones going operational at the end of March. The city council approved the red light cameras to cut down on crashes at these intersections. Austin police said there were more than 13-hundred crashes related to red light running in 2007, and at least nine deaths in recent years. Now, state law may be take down those red light cameras. An amendment was attached to a transportation bill late last night that would ban the state or local governments from putting cameras at intersections to catch traffic violations. Contracts for current red light cameras could not be renewed after the measure goes into effect.
What's not clear yet is if all this will actually become law. Just before midnight, debate in the house cut off without a vote, with lawmakers possibly taking it back up early this morning.

MUTHER PLUCKIN GREAT MUISC!!!!
Singer Tje (tye) Austin was born and adopted in Honolulu, Hawaii. He grew up in a military family and so moved around often, living in states like North Carolina, Michigan, Arizona and even over seas in Okinawa, Japan. After high school, Tje Austin moved to Austin, Texas to attend college. Soon he decided to establish himself as a musician and singer in Austin, and began performing in coffee shops and bars. As luck would also have it, he connected with musicians Brian Ferguson and Will Wolfe who soon became members of his band.In the late spring 2008, Tje Austin began recording and released Love Me Knots which helped introduce him online via Itunes and Amazon. In fall 2008, Tje Austin also featured original song “Today Tomorrow” on the indie hit movie Noah’s Arc: Jumping the Broom. Tje Austin is currently recording his next two cds, a live version of Love Me Knots, and the follow up titled Ordinary, which is planned for a 2009 release.
Now this kid has mad skills. With his guitar in hand and a mic in his face, Tje releases the ultimate wooing sounds to get the heart warm and the ladies in the mood. Trust me, my girl got him on repeat. (Thanks Tje for getting the party started). If you don't have the sounds of Tje Austin in the bed room CD player... then ya slipping!
AMERICAN IDOL SHOCKER!!!

Ryan reminds the singers and us at home that the three crooners who remain will get to visit their hometown for the annual montages of parades, big crowds and tears. And what do you know, they show a montage of parades, big crowds and tears form the last few seasons! With that in mind, they get right to the results, which are revealed in random order (no bottom three this week). Ryan quick send Kris back to safety. He seems genuinely shocked, and even though he's who I am personally rooting for, I was as well. He was just a little safe last night, but I am glad he gets to stay. Sadly, my mind says: oh, no, Allison.Ryan also sends Adam (shocker!) back to the stools, leaving Allison and Danny "Yaaaeaaeeeeaaaaah!" Gokey to face the music. I give props to Danny for laughing at himself and admitting that his final note in "Dream On" was brutal. I wish I found it as funny as he did, but still nice to see him showing some weakness. Despite the noise pollution, however, Danny is also safe, marking the end of the road for Allison.I went back and forth on Allison all season, but she really is a sweetheart and, for me, showed tons of personality, despite what Simon said all season. She is young and has lots ahead of her, I'm sure. It sucks that she went out on rock week, but at least she had a song that really fit her voice to sing goodbye with. So, what do you think of the boys' club Final 3? Are you sad to see Allison go? Who do you think will win?
WHAT IF PRINCE MAMA AND R.KELLY DADDY DID THE GROWN FOLKS?
Then you get one of the Hottest R&B artist in the game!
Born in North Carolina, Terius Nash was raised in the Bankhead section of Atlanta, Georgia. Before he found his calling in music, the industrious young man made ends meet doing everything from working at Checkers to becoming a collections agent.
After graduating from H.S., Dream joined a singing group, Guess Who, signed by local rapper Raheem. They sang the hook to "Most Beautiful Girl," which became moderately successful. "It did pretty good, got a lot of spins," says Nash.
A few years later, The–Dream began writings songs for up–and–coming rappers and hooks for his peers. He got his first publishing deal in 2003, when he signed to Peer Music after writing B2K’s single, "Everything." The song, off B2K’s platinum sophomore album, Pandemonium, truly put The–Dream on the map.
"My grand daddy told me I would never make any money in this business. Music just wasn’t a reality for him. I never knew until I was 21 or 22 that I could actually be successful in the music business."
With one success under his belt, Terius began to build momentum and soon found himself associating with the upper echelons of pop stardom.
"A year after B2K I did the Britney Spears and Madonna record," he begins. "I recorded vocals and wrote to that record after Tricky, the guy I did "Umbrella" with, decided he didn’t want the track anymore. I was the new guy in the building so I stayed overnight running in and out the booth recording myself in Pro Tools. Tricky and a writer before me, Penelope, went up to N.Y. [to meet] Britney. They played a lot of songs and Britney was like, I dunno. Then they got to "Me Against the Music" and she was like, "Oh, I’m digging that. I love that hook!"
Unfortunately, that song didn’t push The–Dream to the level he wanted to reach. He spent two years working on other projects including Nivea’s second album, which he executive produced. "Trick and I just started making records. By the time we got to ‘Umbrella’ we were like ‘ok, we got it.’" Dream insisted that L.A Reid hear the song and the rest is history.
Big ups to The-Dreams latest Albume Love vs Money.
