On Tuesday police say Tracy Mercado ran over her husband and his co-worker just moments after he tried to break up with her. According to the arrest affidavit, Mercado met her husband Nathan Perez at a body shop on Old Manchaca Road.
The two began to argue after Perez told Mercado he wanted to split up. At that point, Mercado became enraged and got into a 2007 Dodge Charger that was at the body shop for repairs.
Mercado then started the Charger out of the stall. Perez tried to stop Mercado from taking the vehicle since it belonged to somebody else. Mercado then struck Perez with the front of the Charger and ran over his left leg.
A co-worker of Perez, Leonel Rios, then attempted to stop Mercado from taking the Charger. Mercado then struck Rios with the Charger sending him flying into a trash dumpster. Rios suffered an injury to his right knee that caused noticeable swelling.
Mercado then began to use the Charger to ram a pickup truck belonging to Perez, leaving several dents. Once police arrived, Mercado was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

So I'm thinking maybe that insurance lizard would have came in handy?
